✅ Traditional Uses
1. With Farali Dishes – eaten along with sabudana khichdi, sabudana vada, upvas thalipeeth, farali dosa, varai (bhagar) rice.
2. As a Side Dip – goes well with boiled potatoes, sweet potatoes, or raw bananas prepared for upvas.
3. With Fasting Rotis – served with rajgira, singhada, kuttu or sabudana thalipeeth/paratha.
4. With Curd / Dahi – chutney mixed into curd makes a tasty and cooling side dish for upvas meals.
5. As Spread / Filling – used inside fasting wraps or rolls made from amaranth, water chestnut, or barnyard millet flour.
6. As Curry Base (Danyachi Amti) – chutney is diluted with water, rock salt, green chilli, and sometimes boiled potato to make a simple peanut curry eaten with farali rice.
7. Topping for Fruits & Snacks – a small sprinkle adds nutty flavour to sliced cucumbers, fruits, or upvas-friendly snacks.
8. Travel-friendly Dry Side – since it’s dry, people pack it during fasting days for convenience.
